If you have just installed Blue, note that the sensor might take several hours to stabilize. Wait a few hours before taking the measurements into account.
If this is not the case, the sensor might have received an impact and could be damaged. Please carry out a visual check of the probe. If it seems broken, please contact your dealer.
If this is not the case, move Blue. Make sure that Blue is not near the source of disinfection (e.g. skimmer). In this case, when your filtration system is not running, the values returned by the probe might be inconsistent. If this is the case, remove Blue from the source of disinfectant (skimmer, chlorine dispenser, ...)
If this does not apply to you, please check the values with a third device such as a photometer or other type of probe. To compare measurements, they must be done in the same place.
The values measured by Blue can vary greatly depending on its location. To compare Blue measures in a more effective way, we recommend placing Blue always in the same place.
In the case of pH, a factory calibration has been carried out but it may be necessary to redo one. Place Blue in pH4 and take a measurement using Bluetooth. If the pH value is more than 0.1, please follow the calibration procedure in the app in "Settings"> "My Blue Connect"> "Calibrate Blue Connect".
In the case of ORP:
The Blue ORP sensor values taken in the technical room may significantly vary from those taken in the pool. A variability of about 150 mV on ORP measures is perfectly acceptable.
To find out if a calibration is necessary, place Blue in ORP 468 mV and take a Bluetooth measure.
If the values are less than 40 mV away, the product is working. The ORP probe may have reading difficulties if the water is loaded with products (cyanuric acid, etc.). We recommend you to do a test with a teststrip to check this, and correct the alkalinity, hardness and cyanuric acid of your water if necessary.
If the values are more than 40 mV away, please contact your reseller.
In the case of salinity, the salt rate is estimated by our application on the basis of the conductivity. The calculation of this estimate may vary depending on the measuring device. On the other hand, the test strips measure the NaCL while the Blue Connect measures the total amount of salts. The measures of Blue therefore contain the amount of sodium chloride but also other salts. You can follow on Blue's advice to regulate the salt level of your salt pool.
If the pH and ORP values seem wrong, one element might be disturbing the reference probe. The reference probe is the common probe between the pH and the ORP and allows to measure these two parameters correctly. Make sure to clean the probe with clean water or bleach.
If the problem persists, please contact your reseller.
